We have particular expertise in optical fibre sensing, a technology that has been utilised in industry sectors as diverse as civil engineering, transportation, energy, aerospace, and medicine. So that we can offer our customers the most proven fibre optic sensing products, we have partnered with Micron Optics, Inc., the world's leading manufacturer of fibre Bragg grating (FBG) sensor systems. Our in-depth knowledge of the Micron Optics' product range is backed by a wealth of real-world application experience.

One of the most common applications of optical fibre sensing is the monitoring of large civil structures such as bridges, buildings and tunnels. In addition to our standard high-level of technical support, our experience in the civil sector enables us to offer clients the following additional specialist services,

Alongside our sensing activity, we are proud to represent Micron Optics' range of in-fibre Fabry-Perot (FFP) tuneable filters and swept laser sources. Thousands of FFP tuneable filters are currently in use around the world and can be found at the heart of a variety of OEM measurement instruments. The swept laser sources are most commonly used as modules within optical coherence tomography (OCT) medical systems and for industrial imaging applications.
